This pad, along with our entire felt and rubber rug pad collection, is made from two layers bonded together. A dense recycled felt fiber layer on top and a natural rubber backing on the bottom comprise the rug pad. Both layers are sourced from recycled and renewable materials, manufactured in the USA without BHT or harmful chemical additives, and CRI Green Label certified.

How does the 1/4" pad differ from the 5/16" Felt & Rubber pad?

The 1/4" pad is thinner and sits lower profile than the 5/16". While both deliver maximum grip (10/10), the 1/4" is rated Cushion 8/10 vs. the 5/16"'s Cushion 10/10. The 1/4" is the better choice for high traffic areas, doorway transitions, and rugs with low furniture clearance. The 5/16" pad is the better call for bedrooms, living rooms, and dining rooms where plush comfort is the priority.

Is the 1/4" Felt & Rubber pad safe for hardwood floors?
