How does the 5/16" pad differ from the 1/4" Felt & Rubber pad?

The 5/16" pad is thicker and adds noticeably more cushioning underfoot (rated Cushion 10/10 vs. Cushion 8/10 on the 1/4" version). While both deliver the same maximum non-slip grip, the 1/4" pad is the better choice for high traffic areas and doorway transitions where a lower profile matters.
